Paulownia
Step into a Sustainable and Profitable Future with Paulownia (Kiri) Trees
As Ege Kiri Nursery, we bring you the environmentally friendly, fast-growing Paulownia (Kiri) tree with high income potential. With this unique tree species, you will not only contribute to nature but also secure a strong future for your investment.
Nature's Aluminum
Paulownia is one of the lightest and most durable trees in the world, earning the title "aluminum of trees." Thanks to its honeycomb-like fiber structure, it hardly absorbs water and is preferred in many sectors due to its low density and high strength. With an average density of only 290 kg/m³, this tree delivers excellent results in both aesthetic and functional applications.
Extraordinary Growth Power
It can grow up to 6 meters in height in its first year and reach a trunk thickness of 40 cm. With its taproot system extending up to 5 meters deep, it can access water and minerals in deep soil layers. Thanks to these features, it is drought-resistant and provides high yield even in unproductive lands.
Large Leaves, Natural Protection
Paulownia's massive leaves (1.2 m in diameter) maximize photosynthesis capacity. At the same time, this large leaf structure creates a natural shield against environmental effects. Since it has high resistance to pests and diseases, it does not require chemical use.
Short Rotation Forestry with Paulownia
Among fast-maturing, high-yield trees, Paulownia is clearly ahead. This species, specially developed for timber-focused plantation models, does not require replanting thanks to its rapid growth and ability to regenerate shoots from pruned stumps.
