Paulownia trees can be harvested when they reach 35-40 cm diameter within 7-9 years. After harvest, they sprout again from the same root. This cycle can last more than 20 years.

How does Paulownia contribute to the environment and climate?

Paulownia absorbs more CO₂ than other species thanks to its rapid growth and large leaf surface. It provides an average of ~40 tons of CO₂ absorption per year in 1 hectare. It also increases soil fertility, fights erosion and reduces carbon footprint.

Is replanting required after harvest?

No. Ege Kiri varieties continue to grow by sprouting again from the existing root system after harvest. Up to 3 cycles of harvest are possible with 1 planting.

Do I have to wait 7-8 years for harvest?

No. You will earn carbon credit income from the first year. Additionally, intermediate income models such as intermediate harvest and young timber sales are also available.

How does the carbon credit process work?

Ege Carbon applies the following four-stage model:

  1. Analysis: CO₂ potential is determined on your land.
  2. Cultivation Guidance: Growth tracking and yield optimization are provided.
  3. Verification & Certification: CO₂ absorption certificates are obtained from international organizations.
  4. Sales: Your certified carbon credits are marketed and sold.
